Power consumption in the world has been steeply increasing. The same problem have the European countries to face with. The cheapest energy is “not produced” one, it means the saved energy. Power saving is the promoted EU programme for future and we intend to motivate students and of course other people to realise how to contribute to the idea.

The investigation will be done in two stages. Each in one year of two years of the project duration.

Project has been determined to the students of Secondary School especially to those attending Lyceum.

1st Students will examine present level of power consumption/ electric, gas, solar etc/ at school, their homes and environment. They are expected to create a list of extreme power consuming facilities and processes at school, their homes and environment/ town, village settlement. They will study the reasons leading to such extremes. They will create lists of results to swap it with their partner schools and students. It will be interesting to find out the differences among particular member countries. ICT is widely used while processing all the data

Students will investigate the ways of power saving procedures. They will create a list of recommendations leading to the reduction of power consumption at school and their homes. Within the period of 6 months will be checked the effect of recommended precautions and their impact on power consumption. The experiment will be realised at school, students homes and students participating in the project should motivate their colleagues at school to join the experiment

ITC will be used for creating grids and tables showing the efectivity of saving programme.

2nd All collected data will be swapped, compared among partner schools and evaluation according to specific national or local conditions will be done.

On the basis of the evaluation students try to work out a list of recommendations /a handbook/ leading to reduction of power consumption- POWER SAVING PROGRAMME- either for school or families.

At the end of the project students will examine the chances of renewable sources of energy / solar cells, solar water radiators, biotechnologies and the role of these power saving technologies in power saving programme.

It is expected to find a energy saving aid and recommend a suitable equipment for school or household for practical use.

Objectives-Develop a deep cooperation among partner schools concerning students and staff /teachers and management.

Evaluate exchanged information among partner schools with respect to efectivnes of power saving precautions developped and recommended for particular appliance in partner region.

Information exchange by the use of ICT, internet and ,of course personal contact, during the meetings.

Attract pupils to the particular problems of individual EU countries especially those, related with power consumption and renewable power sources.

Motivation in power saving/ families, household, school, public/. Deeper investigation of environmental impacts, soft access to the nature and natural sources.

Expected impact in education-school subjects: Economy and Accounting -power saving budget and calculations.

Physic- power production and storage.

Travel and Tourism- environmental friendly transport, buildings, production, behaviour.

Biology- a modern use of agricultural waste as an alternative source of renewable energy.

ITC- communication and creative activities/grids, tables, diagrams, web sites.

Languages- English as a communicative language, other languages of partner countries as a motivation to learn other languages of EU membership countrie.
